Appointments

Standard appointments are allocated 15 minutes. If you think you may require additional time, have multiple health concerns to discuss, or require procedures such as care plans, medicals, or complex consultations, please advise our reception team when booking so that a longer appointment can be arranged.

If you are unsure whether you require a longer appointment and have multiple concerns, we recommend booking a long appointment. If, after assessment, a longer consultation is not clinically required, you will not be charged for the additional time.

If more than one family member requires an appointment, please book a separate appointment for each person and advise the receptionist at the time of booking.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact the practice as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule. As appointment availability is often limited, this allows us to offer your appointment to another patient awaiting care and helps minimise delays for everyone.

By booking the appropriate appointment length and providing adequate notice of cancellations, you help us keep appointments running as close to schedule as possible.

We will always endeavour to accommodate patients requiring urgent medical attention. However, during periods of high demand, if we are unable to provide timely care, you may be advised to attend your nearest emergency department or an appropriate urgent care service.

Appointments can also be booked online via the Burleigh Heads Medical Centre website at www.bhmc.net.au.
