Phone Calls with Doctor

Telehealth and telephone appointments are available where clinically appropriate. These appointments are considered standard consultations and consultation fees apply.

Following your appointment, your account will be processed. If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate and no changes are required to the consultation item number or fees charged, your claim will be submitted electronically to Medicare. Your rebate will then be paid into the bank account nominated with your Medicare online account.

If you are calling to speak with your GP and feel that a consultation may not be necessary, our reception team will be happy to take a message and pass it on to your doctor. When time permits, your GP will endeavour to review your enquiry and provide further advice. Please note that, due to clinical commitments, your enquiry may not be addressed on the same day.

Depending on the nature of your enquiry, your GP may advise that a consultation is required. This may be either a face-to-face or telehealth appointment, as clinically appropriate.

If you are returning a call from your doctor, or your doctor has asked you to contact the practice, please let our reception team know when you call so your enquiry can be managed appropriately.
